The Director of Media and Publicity of Goodluck-Sambo Campaign
Organization, Chief Olufemi Fani-kayode has sold his late father’s
multi-million naira legacy mansion in Lagos to a serving military army
general. Yemojanewsng.com can reveal authoritatively.
The mansion situated on four plots of land on Marine Road Apapa, Lagos,
was said to be the favorite and the living house of late Chief Remilekun
Fani-kayode[SAN], while he was alive. But, curiously, Femi Fani-kayode
has sold the family house to a serving Major-General [names withheld].
However, the one-time minister of aviation claimed that he only put the
house on lease. ” I just put the house on lease… as I can’t maintain two
houses’’ the father of five girls told some friends.
Family insiders revealed that the Marine road, Apapa mansion of the late
Premier of the defunct Western region, which had served as the family
house of the Fani-kayodes, even before the demise of the Chief Remilekun
Fani-kayode and Deaconess Adia Adunni Fani-kayode, was sold for a
pitiful sum of N100million, by Femi, who is popularly called FFK.
Although, he has repeatedly claimed that he leased out the mansion.
One of our sources disclosed that Femi Fani-kayode couldn’t have gotten
the right to sell or lease the house, as he’s not the first son or first
born of the third designated Senior Advocate of Nigeria, late Chief
Fani-Kayode. ‘’My brother, Femi is the third son and fifth born of Fani
Power [Chief Fani-kayode]… His mother had five children, while the
senior wife had four children. Do you know that Femi’s elder brother,
Akinola, himself a lawyer, and also the first son of Chief Remi
Fani-kayode was driven out of the house by Femi,” the source revealed.
The highly informed family source further made it known to us that apart
from Rotimi Fani-kayode, the immediate elder brother of Femi, who died
in 1989 in London of AIDS related complications, he still has Akinola,
Mrs Aina Ogungbe and Mrs Remi Nana Akuffo as his elde brother and
sisters.
We gathered that since he sold the house, he has been staying in Eko
Hotels and Ikoyi Hotels anytime he came calling on Lagos, as he has no
other house of abode in the city center of Lagos.
To make matter worse, our source revealed that the money he made on the
alleged sale of the house was expended on the training of his former 24
year old girlfriend, Vivian Agbaza in London University. Apart from
sponsoring the young lady who was younger than his first daughter [
Folake] and of the same age with his second daughter [Temitope] to study
for her Master’s degree, the remaining portion of the money was
frittered on frivolities. Femi Fani-kayode, a source insisted, has no
means of livelihood that he only lives on friends and government
patronage.
