Union Bank boss, Emeka Emuwa is at back on the lips
of many - but not for issues that
relates to his professional competence nor the performance of the financial he
heads.
Rather the off public glare bank helms man is the
subject of whispers of inability to visit Central Africa country, Cameroun.
According to talks here and there, the Union Bank
front man finds it hard to visit the country bordered by Nigeria to the west
over alleged sexual offence.
Informants claim the bank boss while serving as an
officer of his former bank, Citi – county officer- in Cameroun indirectly ran
foul of the law.
He was said to have stood surety for his brother
engulfed in a rape case.
Information revealed the brother living off Emuwa at
the type was a man of easy life.
And his penchant for excessive fun got him entangled
in a rape allegation – and clutches of the authority.
The then bank officer Emuwa had opted to serve as
surety for his brother rather than allow go to jail.
But on his release, the accused went underground –
and Emuwa worked a transfer out of the country to avoid the legal consequence.
Sources could however not ascertain whether the move
was intentional to bail the suspect out of his predicament in face of
overwhelming evidence of his crime or not.
Informants however claimed since he took his leave
off the country, Emuwa has taken time to stay clear off the Central Africa
Country, especially away from actions that might awaken interest in the ‘case’.
