Skye Bank Chairman, Tunde Ayeni Becomes The New Biggest Spender In Nigeria (His Flamboyant Lifestyles +Details Of His Many Deals With President Jonathan)

When the announcement was made that the NATCOM-Consortium headed by Tunde Ayeni won the bid to acquire NITEL and MTEL, many in the corporate sector in Nigeria were not surprised, to them Tunde Ayeni has every reasons to win as he is regarded in the business world as President Goodluck Jonathan’s best friend.

The lawyer who is also the Chairman of Skye bank within the years rose on the rich list and has now been rumoured to be the richest Nigerian alive.

Insiders proved that Ayeni’s path to wealth was paved by the ex-Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamaeyeseigha. It is known that the lawyer was an ally of the ex-Governor whom he helped bought some properties in Lagos and Abuja.

He is claimed to be the unknown lawyer that was mentioned in the acquisition of the Herbert Macaulay street, GRA-Ikeja, Lagos property on the charge list of the EFCC against Alamaseyeigha.

It was during the time of Alamaseyeigha as the Governor of Bayelsa State that Ayeni also met President Goodluck Jonathan who was then the Deputy Governor.

They were said to have taken to each other instantly and when Jonathan eventually became the President, Ayeni’s influence and wealth grew on the back of his friend’s emergence into power and he became his closest friend and the conduit pipe through which the President milks honey.

Tunde Ayeni is not the only beneficiary of President Jonathan’s government, Skye bank under his Chairmanship is claimed to have been enjoying a robust fiscal year as some clandestine deals were executed in the interest of the President whom he always introduce as a partner.

Many of Ayeni’s interest in companies like the Ibadan Electricity Development Company, Oluyole Estate Development and Services Limited, Prime Union Investment and others were said to be in accordance with the interest of his anonymous partner who is believed to be so influential and the hidden hand that secure many juicy contracts for their company.

At the fund-raising dinner for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan some days ago, Ayeni who goes about with a quiet mien stunned the nation when he made an announcement of a huge donation of 2Billion naira.

He explained that he is donating N1billion on behalf of himself and his partner and the other billion from the coalition of his friends to support the president.

His flamboyant lifestyle and purchase of private jets, ships, bullet proof cars and eye-popping mansions in choice areas all over the world are testimonies of his status and means not to attract attention to his politician-partner.
