POMP AND MAGIC AT TOYIN SARAKI’S 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY IN LONDON *As Gov. Adams Oshiomole Steps Out With New Wife At The Party

Saturday, 13th September, like a ship, Victoria and Albert Museum was listed for the Sarakis.
Everybody loves  Senator Bukola Saraki, the former governor of Kwara State, and not a few dignitaries endeavoured to be part of the epochal event, which many unhesitatingly adjudge a “semi-state” occasion.  By 7p.m. to be precise, it was apparent to everybody that the venue was bound to be ennobled by yet another remarkable flurry and picturesque dash to its portraiture of grandeur.
Outside, snippets of the memorable celebration boomed like huge indications of an approaching storm. Inside, episodes of the unfolding event unraveled auspiciously to manifest like favorable whirlwinds writing on the sands of life inscriptions teaching all the immense benefits of being part of such an unforgettable experience. It was indeed a terrific night that thrust London to its feet in spirited wonderment at the sheer bliss and camaraderie inspired by Sarakis’party.
The champagne cocktail proceeded smoothly and very calmly as it was proficiently convened with commendable civility and grace. Adorned in the most exquisite finery, the carefully selected guests sauntered into the venue and the waiting arms of very pretty ushers who led them to their appointed seats smilingly.
At the russet-radiant red-carpet event, every guest was treated like a star. Asides the assorted liquor, beer and fruit juices, the guests were also treated to delicious meals and dessert that sufficiently wet their palates and sated them. At the background, a soulful medley of very old and contemporary music wafted from well-appointed woofers causing the guests to sway, shuffle and waltz as much as the music moved them and transported them to euphoric cusps. Otedola’s daughter DJ Cuppy was also on stage to thrill the guests to a rich repertoire of timeless classics. And adding an unusual pep to the event were, two notable contemporary artistes, Neyo, the American singer and Wizkid; the duo got the guests moving to the evergreen hits from their most popular delightful songs.
However, narrating the goings-on at the event would never be possible without acknowledging the grace and grandeur of the celebrant, Toyin. Like a Queen of infinite graces, she held the hall spellbound to her charm. The hall listed and creaked at the eaves for her; so much so that every guest present at the event craned their necks to catch glimpses of the woman whose femininity and charm invokes the best from her maverick husband and political titan.
She was cynosure for all eyes at the event as many guests; her friends and foes alike, were captivated by her élan as she strutted from one end of the party to another; like a peacock. Her wondrous, but expensive outfit was a subject of discourse among high society stalwarts who are always abreast with trendy developments in the fashion circuit. She simply enchanted the venue of the event like the fabled Cleopatra charming the Greek metropolis. It was her day!
But if Toyin was gorgeous, her mother, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora was simply stunning. Call her inspirational if you like. The breathtaking beauty and epitome of grace came to honour her darling daughter and catch a kick of the merriment. She was undoubtedly an older and graciously wrought model of the exquisiteness her daughter signified. Looking dainty in her beautiful attire that trimmed years off her age, she exuded poise and had fun in bountiful doses, infectiously and quite effortlessly.
The ecstasy of the event and innumerable treats made available to every guest, at Bukola’s behest, tinged the atmosphere with a euphoric hue of sort. It all felt surreal. And not a few guests could attest to that. The ambience of the party signified class, privileged circumstances and the enviable good taste of the celebrant’s husband Bukola. Unlike most husbands, Bukola hardly reminds his wife “of an orang-utan trying to play the violin.” And unlike the late French writer, Honoré de Balzac, Toyin has no reason to doubt or disdainfully analyze the character and depth of her husband’s love for her in such manner. And the reason is never far-fetched; Bukola does not only deploy great tact and ingenuity to making his beautiful wife happy but also ensures that the whole family lives at peace with one another at all times. Bukola led his wife to the floor for a romantic slow dance. Alone on the dance floor, they moved left and right, holding each other close. It was like a nuptial dance. Toyin, obviously moved by her husband’s love and romantic gesture, planted soft kisses all over his face to the delight of their guests and loved ones.
However, what was supposed to be a birthday party turned out to be a political gathering of sorts. This is because her husband’s political associates turned out in large number to share in the joy of her 50th birthday. Prominent people at the event included the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Gov. Rotimi Amaechi, Gov. Abdufattah Ahmed, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Nana Otedola, Hon. Tambuwal, Jide Coker, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Magnus Abe, Segun Agbaje, Yinka Ojora, Adejare Adegbenro, Alhaji Baraje, Tunde Morakinyo, Aig Imoukhuede, and a host of senators and top politicians.
Also at the party, there was never a dull moment. Drop-dead-gorgeous spinsters and ravishing ladies in their prime beautified and taunted the gathering beaming seductively and dressed to the nines. Foremost businessmen, industry titans and politicians were equally in attendance in large number and they were characteristically in their element. Moved by the irresistible charm and harmony of the scene, the guests in response, shuffled and waltzed in abandon as much as the music moved them and the Sarakis tickled them with unrivalled delight.

However, Governor Adams Oshiomole, the Edo State governor was at the party with his new beautiful wife. A very beautiful young lady whom we gathered he recently engaged secretly. After all, it’s often said that the hum of life begins again, soon after the last condolence has been declared for the comfort of the bereaved. Oshiomole’s wife, Clara Oshiomole died after a long battle with breast cancer in Abuja at the age of 54 years back.  Stay glued to THECAPITAL for more information about the new wife in the life of the dark-hued governor.
Curiously, however, in the last few days, the news made the rounds about the former Lagos Governor and political kingmaker, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s health condition. They claimed Tinubu had suffered a serious stroke and that his health has severely declined. However, for the sake of truth and to the embarrassment of the rumour peddlers, the APC leader emerged at the Saraki’s party to defend his well-being and denounce the rumour as just another desperate attempt by his political detractors to undermine him. Contrary to their claims, Tinubu explained that he is currently abroad to honour business and political engagements. According to him, he was not taken overseas to receive medical attention for stroke or any other ailment. He said ordinarily, he would not have bothered responding to the rumours but for the concern and anxiety the false reports had generated among his friends, family, political and business associates, he had to issue a placatory response.
