The Tsunami Called TAN, Its Effects on Opposition Party in Rivers

Spreading like wild fire, Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) is conquering more states with its rally to drum support for good governance of President Goodluck Jonathan.  While the rallies is basically to showcase the good product of transformation, revolution, growth and development of the nation as personified by the incumbent president who has actually given human face to governance and empowerment contrary to what it used to be, its effect is more or less damaging like a Tsunami to political party like All Progressives Congress (APC) and its card carrying members especially in River states.
After the successful takeover of the garden city of Port-Harcourt by TAN, instead of accepting the yearning of the mammoth crowd for GEJ’s second term, the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) condemned the Pro-Jonathan rally, insinuating that it’s an event for President Goodluck Jonathan’s third term ambition. Inclusive of their allegation is that the plight of Nigerians, particularly those in Rivers State, should be the alert of the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease in the State.

According to the statement by the State Chairman of APC, Dr. Davies Ikanya, “With this TAN Rally in Port Harcourt, President Goodluck Jonathan and his cohorts have only succeeded in exposing their deep-rooted hatred for the good people of Rivers State, fully aware of the implication of organising such a senseless rally at this period that we are still studying how wicked agents secretly exported Ebola to Rivers State just to endanger the lives of Rivers people.”
Such statement wouldn’t have come from a sane mind looking at the advantages of such rally to the good people of Rivers state. Is it not in this country, before the present regime that lip service is merely paid to the issues that genuinely affect the populace?  While TAN is giving human face to governance and empowerment, the achievement of the present dispensation should be celebrated not minding the activities of wicked agents who spread falsehood about how Ebola disease can be contacted.
Is not in the APC states that cases of Ebola are detected and citizens were advised to bath with salt hot water as preventive measures? Or should the malicious lies of consuming bitter kola to prevent the deadly disease being taken with levity? The cold feet developed by the oppositions seems to have caused something similar to ‘brain wave’ to those who condemned the gathering of ‘positive thinkers’
With no holds bar, all responsible citizens of Rivers state, among other achievements should laud the initiative of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in Bonny, Rivers State with a take off grant of N1billion for the Polytechnic to commence academic activities and pledge support for the transformation agenda of the government and a next term for President GEJ.
Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN is a non-political organization designed to significantly grow the economy and improve the living standard of the citizens, publicize support for good leadership in all sectors of Nigeria’s economy, driving its train to all corners of the country with mega rallies.
