The President's campaigners are leveraging on the rip off theme of national tragedy that has elicited widespread international sympathy and support to source re election votes with slogan #bringbackgoodlcuk2015#
The original
slogan is the far more thought provoking and impactful slogan and popular ash
tag #bringbackourgirls# utilised to sensitise national and world awareness on
the plight of the missing girls and force increased government action at
rescuing them.
The over two hundred girls where kidnapped by armed insurgent informally known as 'Boko Haram' from their school.
The #bringbackourgirls# campaign and details of the development created such gripping attention such that world figures like United States of America first lady, Michelle Obama identified with it.
A huge number of the girls remain missing over
4months later - while the few that escaped detail horrifying stories of rape
and inhuman abuse.
Boko Haram has gone on to earn the infamous label of an international terrorist organisation with seemingly countless death attributed to it's exploits.
It is into this mix comes political campaigners of President Goodluck Jonathan, currently attempting to leverage on the popularity of the #bring back# slogan to return their principal to power.
The #bringbackgoodluck# campaign reportedly hit town last week thursday, ( September 2).
Outside of billboards, social media tool, twitter was said to have been used as means of deployment.
Concerned stakeholders alarmed at what is described 'apparent insensitivity' to the objectives of the original #bringback# campaign reportedly drew attention of presidential spoke's person, Reuben Abbatti to the situation on his twitter handle. He is said to have remained silent till press time as the controversy balloons.
What further swelled the growing controversy is sharp twist to the #bringbackgoodluck# campaign.
Agents of the President campaigners have began a sit out action for him to be brought back into office, at the same venue ( Unity Fountain, Abuja) and side by side with activists seeking a return of this girls.
The President's votes canvassers wear colourful vests and parade brightly design banners proclaiming their objectives #bringbackgoodluck2015#.

The Transformation Ambassadors of
Nigeria (TAN) are currently engaged in a massive nation wide political rally
cum campaign for the return of President Goodluck Jonathan to power in the
2015 general elections.
Here are windows into some of the comments the #bringbackgoodluck# campaign has attracted on the social media. 'the #bringback...is in bad taste. Does it mean the people behind this are bereft of ideas? 'Not Nice at all', was my first instinct yesterday, when I saw it Haba ! This is not good at all ! Its things like this that irks people and GEJ gets bashed right left and center . It smacks of insensitivity on the part or the rulers over the ruled !'. Kabat 'Bringback Goodluck ??? What???? Nah not too nice ... Good morn ya all!' Shai |
'Very inconsiderate campaign theme! I support
GEJ but they had better find another theme or else, nothing for them'

'In as much I do not see any sense in ascribing that slogan to Jonathan, I do not want us to blame directly this on the president, it is only evident that whoever introduce this in his campaign org lacks campaign skills and strategies. Every campaign details or objects should be screened by the org leadership before displaying to public esp by the aspirant itself. On this whoever did it did not try at all.' Amofin.

the
#BringBack**** shouldn't be taken for granted like they just did. I don't want
to say we should directly blame GEJ about that cos he might not even have the
slightest idea about the banner. But yet, his CM should be called to order.

'What is wrong with what this poor women have done? They have benefited from the transformation agenda and are free to express same as guaranteed by the constitution.' Michael Effiong.
'I believe this is prophetic. If the Chibok girls are brought back then GEJ will be brought back. That harsh tag is very powerful. I am happy with this. GEJ is a child of destiny and he has now tied his destiny to those of Chibok girls. And for once this is not APC fault.' Tolu.
'Those women are paid to do what they are doing. An innitial slogan was used for Akala before it disappeared. Sensitive slogan that could have been overlooked if the fate of those girls have been decided. Sad. We have witnessed all sorts of constitutional infractions under this administration that I pity the new intakes at our Law schools. The whole nation seems blinded by the political dictates of the moment. The masses have been divided along this lines too. The future is unknown'. Kjv
'is TAN's handiwork, their logo is on the shirt worn by the women, a clearer picture was taken by a friend who amongst with others gather at Unity Fountain, the venue for the sit out of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. Dont be surprised that it is the same venue these women have also gone to start their sit out since last week Thursday. Side by side with the #BringBackOurGirls campaigners. While we all have freedom of association, this isn't far from this administration's style of behavior and seeking sympathy. This is the sort of government we have. Petty. Reuben Abati's attention has been called to this since last week via his handle, that theyr still going about with this is not only insensitive,it paint Mr President as petty and bereft of sympathy to the Chibok girls case.' Tomiwa
'May GOD punish those Mocking the #Bringbackourgirls Campaign. Its disturbing that the panel set up by d president led by Mike, hasn't briefd Us about the Rescue Mission for the #Chibokgirls over A month Now..... Does it mean. We shld forget them and carry ON? Just like that? And even on dis Forum. TAN is the baby of d commiitee now... GOD for us all' . Olu
'I am very disappointed in him and his team. Nobody is saying he should not contest but using the "bring back" tag smirks of insensitivity and recklessness. I wonder who advises them on these things.' Gbenga
' I pray he suffers from the result of the #BringBack ash tag!! If the girls are brought back, then so shall he return to that post in 2015, but if the poor girls and boys are not found and returned, then so shall this mar
